We’re Maungaroa and Jess. Cambridge born and bred, proud Chiefs and Warriors supporters, and most importantly, family people. We love living in the Waikato and are passionate about helping other local families create outdoor spaces they’ll enjoy for years to come.
Maungaroa has a background in building houses and renovating our own homes, usually bringing Jess’s next great idea to life 😉
Jess has a marketing and sales background, bringing a creative eye and wearing the “technology hat”.
Together, along with our partnership with custom made Stratco solutions, we aim to deliver a great customer experience, creative ideas, and quality execution from start to finish.
We took over the long-standing Waikato Shade Solutions business in October 2025, continuing a trusted local business with over 15 years of history. Since then, we’ve worked closely alongside Colleen and Roger, learning the ropes, gaining valuable guidance, and building on the strong foundations they created.
As parents of three young children, family is at the heart of everything we do. We understand how important it is to have an outdoor space where family and friends can relax, entertain, and come together to make lasting memories.
